If you were out braving Melbourne’s mix of sun and rain recently, you may have seen a dozen happy people on Lug & Carrie eBikes cruising the streets.
Melbourne chef and food expert Marco Lori was leading the group, treating them to a tour of some of this favourite spots and other hidden gems. And Marco would know, as he’s been creating Italian cuisine in Melbourne for three decades.
First stop was Enoteca Sileno to try Parmesan cheese and to chat with John, the super knowledgeable and entertaining proprietor.
This was followed by a ride to Largo Butchers in Fitzroy for some grilled salsicce under the awning, while waiting out the morning rain.
One or two (or 3… ) paella arancinis at legendary laneway restaurant Becco led to a final stop at the Rapha clubhouse for desert, ice cream sandwiches from Jock’s Ice Cream and Sorbet, served up by Jock himself!
Great food, good company, all on a fun and easy to ride (easy thanks to the super smooth Bosch motors and batteries) Lug & Carrie eBike – what better way is there to spend a Saturday?
If this tour sounds like something that pumps up your tyres, stay tuned as we’re working on a way to make Marco’s tour available to more people!
